LaToya Ruby Frazier (b. 1982, Braddock, Pennsylvania, USA) lives and works in New Brunswick, New Jersey and New York, New York. She earned a BFA from Edinboro University (2004), an MFA from Syracuse University (2007), and attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture (2007), Artist in the Marketplace at the The Bronx Museum of the Arts (2009), and the Whitney Museum of American Art Independent Study Program (2011). Awards and honors include Art Matters (2010); the S.J. Wallace Truman Fund Award from National Academy Museum (2008); and the Geraldine Dodge Fellowship Award from the College Art Association (2006). She has been an artist in residence at the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (2010), Omi International Arts Center (2009), and the Center for Photography at Woodstock (2008). She is the Associate Curator for the Mason Gross Galleries and teaches photography in the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey.
